Dr. Alex Keller ND, CISSN
Dr. Alex Keller graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Honours Bachelor in Health Sciences and Psychology. Passionate about natural medicine and patient health education, he subsequently pursued a degree in naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.
Alex uses a functional approach to medicine, meaning he works with you to determine the underlying cause of your health concerns. His goal is not simply to make you feel better today but to educate and empower you with the knowledge you need to feel better tomorrow.
Typical consultations with Alex include addressing specific health concerns, dietary review, lifestyle review, supplement review, in-depth physical exams, and development of a treatment plan. As a naturopathic doctor, he can requisition lab testing, but at an additional cost since naturopathic medicine is not currently covered by the government health in Ontario.
When developing a treatment plan, he applies an evidence-informed approach to use dietary modification, lifestyle modification, orthomolecular medicine (nutritional supplements), phytotherapy (herbal medicine), acupuncture, and physical medicine (manipulation and postural adjustment).
Alex maintains a general practice with a focus in gastroenterology and associated inflammatory conditions (GUT), rheumatism and musculoskeletal pain syndromes (PAIN), and energy/nutrition optimization (PERFORMANCE).
He has additional training in:
