Terri Morgan, founder of YOGA for your KNOTS, is a Yoga Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Her training includes Trauma-informed Yoga training and advanced pain care yoga. Over time, Terri recognized that students were not responding as quickly as she would like with a manual therapy approach, which led her to explore more deeply the effects of emotions on the body.
Terri began her yoga journey 24 years ago with an introduction to Siddha Samadhi Yoga (SSY), a time-proven method of stress management. With two young kids and a full-time management job in the oil industry, she needed a way to become more grounded. The SSY program taught her to breathe and meditate, components essential to the body-mind connection.
Any trauma, stress, injury or repressed experiences will often contribute to physical pain. Terri’s individual yoga therapy, small classes and SSY workshops combine yoga with somatic exercises, breathing, deep relaxation and meditation exercises to help recover from and prevent physical and mental ailments. Her methods are particularly appropriate for many persistent chronic pain conditions.
